Drugstore Favorites

Whenever I’m in Target (which is more often then I’d like to admit) I always find myself in the Makeup aisles. I can’t help myself but be tempted by the affordable prices, not to mention the clearance items. The drawback to buying drugstore makeup is you can’t try it out before you buy it. I usually let myself buy one item per trip to “try out” before it goes in my makeup kit. Drugstore makeup can be such a gamble… some things are 1/3 of the price of department store makeup and work just as well… and sometimes you get what you pay for. So today I am going to share with you some of my favorites that will make you and your wallet happy!

1. Maybelline “The Falsies” Mascara

I swear I have tried every drugstore mascara! I refuse to pay over $10 for a mascara because they dry out and need to be replaced so often (I usually buy a new mascara every month or so). I love this Mascara and I can usually find it on sale at Target for $5!!!! Bam!

2. Elf Blush.

I have this in “Pink Passion” it’s great for a pop of bright pink on the cheek! I usually put my bronzer or contour color on and then add a little of this to the apples of the cheeks. And the best part is that it’s $3!!!!! seriously!

3. L’oreal “Magic BB Cream”

Ok so “BB creams” what are they? Essentially they are Tinted moistures with extra skincare benefits. BB creams are all the rage right now and there are so many different kinds it will make your head spin. I love to wear them on days when you don’t want to wear a heavy foundation. They even the skin tone, have some SPF, and are not heavy. I love this L’oreal one specifically because it’s not greasy feeling and it’s super smooth. It comes out white but changes color to match your skin. Only $7.99.

4. Color Tattoo 24hr. Cream Gel Shadow

These are Great! I put them under my eyeshadow as a non-creasing base or wear them by themselves for a quick eyeshadow application. $6

So there’s a short list of some of my wallet friendly faves! I would love to know about some of your bargain finds in the makeup aisles!

This summer I was lucky enough to be apart of Everlife’s Photoshoot for their Album cover! These ladies are so stunningly beautiful, it made my job so easy! Not only are they gorgeous… they are the sweetest gals you’ll ever meet, I’m so blessed to call them my friends!
